Personalized strength coaching for downtown Kansas City residents — brought to the fitness center already inside your apartment community.
Your building.
Your gym.
Your coach.
Milepost Strength KC partners with select apartment communities to turn an underused amenity into a place where residents make measurable progress.
Start where you are.
We learn your goals, training experience and starting point. You do not need to “get fit first.”
Train with a small crew.
Up to four residents train together while each person receives coaching and progressions appropriate to them.
Measure what matters.
We track loads, reps, movement quality and consistency so your training has direction — not just sweat.
You don’t have to be
“a gym person.”
Strength training should feel approachable, useful and relevant to your life. Wherever you are starting, your program meets you there and gives you a clear way forward.
New to strength training
Learn the movements, equipment and basics with coaching that helps you feel capable instead of intimidated.
Getting back into it
Return to training with sensible progression, accountability and a plan that respects your current starting point.
Already lifting
Get more structure, better progression and coaching feedback without paying for a traditional 1:1 session every time.
Serious coaching.
Approachable format.
Milepost is built for adults who want to get stronger, move better and stay capable — whether you are brand new to strength training or already comfortable in the gym.

- Available around partner-property coaching blocks
One session.
Individual plans.
You share the coach and the energy of the session — not necessarily the exact same workout. One neighbor may be squatting while another rows and someone else works on a modified press.
Readiness, goals and anything that changed since your last session.
Movement prep and warm-up tailored to the work ahead.
Primary and secondary exercises with individualized loads and progressions.
Accessory work, carries, core or conditioning based on your plan.
Record the work, note what improved and know what comes next.
Get ahead of January.
The first River Market communities will launch with a December preview before the full recurring program begins in January.

Your monthly Strong at Home membership reserves your recurring spot in a four-person cohort and includes every Milepost coaching session scheduled for that cohort during your active billing month.
Cohorts normally meet twice each week, but calendars vary. Some months may include six sessions; others may include eight, nine or even ten. Your monthly rate stays the same.
Milepost guarantees at least six coached session opportunities per billing month. If we cannot provide six, we’ll offer a reasonable replacement opportunity or account credit.
You are never locked into a long-term membership. Membership renews month to month, and you can stop future renewals before your next billing date.
Strength should make life bigger.
Milepost Strength KC was created around a simple idea: people are more likely to build lasting strength when good coaching is convenient, welcoming and connected to real life.
Nate combines structured strength coaching with years of professional leadership, teaching and program design experience. The goal is not to make fitness more complicated — it is to give you a clear starting point, coach the work well and help you keep moving forward.
Why Milepost?
The name is a nod to the River Market’s railroad history, where “Milepost Zero” marked the starting point from which distance was measured. Fitness works the same way: everyone starts somewhere, and progress is built one marker at a time. Milepost Strength is about helping you start where you are, get stronger with purpose, and keep moving farther.
Make your fitness center a resident experience.
Milepost is selecting two River Market communities for its founding pilot. Strong at Home gives residents professional coaching in the fitness center they already have — with small cohorts, predictable scheduling and minimal lift for property staff.

Simple structure, small groups and a clear path forward.
Do I need strength-training experience?
No. Exercises, range of motion and resistance can be adjusted to your current ability. Your starting point is simply your first milepost.
Is this the same as a group fitness class?
No. A cohort may train at the same time, but participants can use different exercises, loads and progressions. The goal is individualized coaching in a small shared session.
Do I need another gym membership?
Not for Strong at Home sessions inside a participating apartment community. The program uses the fitness center residents already have access to.
How many people are in a session?
Ongoing semi-private sessions are capped at four residents. A cohort opens with at least two enrolled members.
What if my apartment building is not a partner yet?
Email us with the community name. Milepost is beginning in the River Market and will add communities as capacity allows.
Do you offer referral or consistency rewards?
Yes. Active members can earn account credits through Milepost Milestones and the Bring Someone Along referral program. See member perks and program details →
What if I miss a session?
Your cohort spot is reserved for you, so personal absences do not automatically reduce the monthly fee. When another compatible cohort has space, Milepost may offer a makeup session as a courtesy.
What if my coach is away?
Planned blackout dates and holidays are published in advance whenever practical. Your membership includes every scheduled session offered for your cohort and guarantees at least six coached opportunities per billing month.
If Milepost cannot provide six, we’ll make it right with a replacement opportunity or account credit. Many months will include more than six sessions — sometimes eight, nine, or even ten — and your monthly rate stays the same.
Depending on the month and your membership rate, that works out to roughly $30–$53 per coached session while still reserving your place in a four-person cohort. More coaching when the calendar allows, without a higher bill.
Am I signing a long-term contract?
No. Milepost memberships are designed to be flexible and renew one month at a time. There is no early termination fee or remaining-term balance. To stop the next renewal, cancel before your next billing date.
